Dear Students and Parents,

I will be sending you an email later today to give you some details on what will be happening within the google classroom.   We will be using our old Writing Google Classroom as our New Continued Learning From Home Classroom.  Most of you already have been enrolled in the class. Today I invited your parents to join the classroom as well. Parents please make sure you check your junk mail for this invitation It will give you updates on what your child has been working on and any assignments that may not be finished.  I look forward to getting started on our new learning program.

Dear Students and Families,

This was to be our regular return date after March Break.  I hope you were able to enjoy some of the nice weather and get outside with your family but ensure Social Distancing.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am currently waiting direction from my supervisors about work and assignments.

Stay safe practice social distancing, wash your hand often and well and we will flatten out the curve and hopefully return to school soon.

Just a reminder that over the next few weeks if you are bored our school purchased the use of Reflex Math.  This is a good way to continue to develop your basic numeracy skills.   20 mins a day will help you increase your basic fact knowledge.

Stay healthy and continue to wash your hands.

Today several students presented their genius hour and all did a great job.

If you have not finished your genius hour you are encouraged to work on it during your break.

We will be finishing up the presentations when we return to school on April 5, 2020.

Today we finished reading Freak the Mighty and we also watched the Movie.

Also there is a language  project about Freak the Mighty in the Language Google Classroom. It is made up of a Written Component as well as a Creative Component.  You may want to start working on it over the break.

I have also posted a review  Mixed and Improper Fractions.  You may want to review this and the other fraction videos over the 3 week break.

At this time no other assignments will be posted in the google classroom.

I encourage all of you to read daily and  go outside to play.

Today two students did their genius hour presentations. Both did a fantastic job. It is difficult to be the first to present.

Please make sure that you are prepared for your presentation for all that did not go today.

We are finishing up the novel the Freak the Mighty.

Please make sure you review the newsletter from the Health Unit about proper handwashing.

Please make sure you are ready to present your genius hour either tomorrow or Friday.

Today we discussed how to changed mixed numbers into improper fractions. Please make sure you review your math note tonight.
